Also known as “House Divided”
Many times within a family there are loyalties to rival teams. This especially true here in the south as spouses often come from different SEC alma maters. This was the inspiration for the print I called “House Divided”, with mascots Uga representing the Georgia Bulldogs and Smokey representing the Tennessee Volunteers. But this came home last weekend with the pivotal matchup of the teams at Georgia’s Sanford Stadium.
Both Uga and Smokey were there on Nov. 5th, 2022 when both teams entered the game with overall 8-0 records. But there could be only one winner, and Georgia prevailed 27-13. This commemorative 11″ x 17″ print is from a pastel rendering.
